York Police Department Incident Log
Sunday, Jan. 710:08 a.m. A Route 1 resident reported a burglary where entry into the residence was apparently made through a window on either Jan. 6 or 7. Items taken included a pair of earrings valued at $2,000, checks valued at $30 and two jewelry boxes valued at $25 each.
Monday, Jan. 8
1:40 p.m. An Airport Drive resident reported a theft by unauthorized taking. The resident had been loading his car to go away when items sitting on luggage on the ground were taken. Items included a laptop valued at $1,095, a laptop case valued at $50 and a digital camera valued at $350.
11:58 a.m. A 2000 Cadillac operated by Joseph Lanoie, 71, of 28 Meadowbrook Village, Rochester, N.H., owned by Crown Financial Services, Enfield, Conn., struck a pedestrian while backing up into the garage at the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
11:03 p.m. Karen Johnson, 42, of 1 Sunrise Terrace, York, was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Spur Road. She is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.
Tuesday, Jan. 9
1:01 a.m. Eli H. Farrel, 19, of 70 State Hill Road, Eliot, was summoned for operating beyond license restriction on Route 1. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.
10 p.m. Cory J. Hoos, 26, of 1400 Route 1, York, was charged with criminal operating under the influence and operating without being licensed. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.
Wednesday, Jan. 10
A two-axle single unit operated by Sonny Wiggins, Jr., of 1484 Sokokis Trail, North Waterboro, owned by Portland Welding Supply, Portland, and a 1995 Ford pickup truck operated by Curtis Dumont of 124 Mountain Road in Cape Neddick were in collision on Route 1 North.
Thursday, Jan. 11
6:34 a.m. Kevin O'Connor, 30, 21 Atlantic St., Gloucester, Mass., was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Ocean Avenue. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.
8:10 a.m. A Grover Lane resident reported glass being shattered on a side storm door sometime during the night, caused by either vandalism or possibly from the wind, since it was a windy night.
