Dorcas (Paul) Frost
She was born Jan. 21, 1911, to the late Clara M. (Norton) and John S. Paul. Dorcas graduated from Colby College in 1932 with a degree in chemistry; she also graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business College in Boston, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1980, sister Barbara in 1982 and brother John N. in 2003.
Dorcas is survived by her caring brother Roger F. Paul, York Beach and Brookville, Ohio; also four nephews whom she dearly loved: John R. Paul and Linda of Albion, Indiana; Gene K. Paul and Sharon of West Milton, Ohio; Dave K. Paul and Teena of Brookville, Ohio, and Brian C. Paul and Cynthia of Farmington Hills, Mich.
She was employed as an executive secretary at General Electric for over 35 years. She lived for many years in Belmont, Mass., and York Beach.

Dorcas also has a longtime friend, Patricia Hutchinson, and her three boys, Drew, Clayton and Troy, of Holliston, Mass.
Dorcas was a long time member of the Union Congregational Church in York Beach. She thoroughly enjoyed working with York Head Start and her association with the little ones. Dorcas was also a very loyal member of the Eastern Star and York Senior Center.
Her many cousins gave her considerable pleasure. She was very close with her cousin Lilla (Norton) Langille.
The name Dorcas is found in the Book of Acts and was also the name of a great-aunt. The bible also describes Dorcas as a person who went around doing good. That certainly describes the present-day Dorcas.
The funeral service for Dorcas will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York, www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in First Parish Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10 a.m. until the service begins at 11 a.m.
