York Police Department Incident Log

Sunday, Jan. 21

11:50 a.m. A 1993 Jeep operated by Alicia M. Poitras, 30, 53 Atkins Lane, Wells, received an estimated $8,000 in damages when it left Mountain Road, struck a tree and flipped onto its right side.

Monday, Jan. 22

12:52 p.m. A 1998 Hyundai station wagon operated by Ellen M. Parent, 59, 9 Phelps St., Kittery, received an estimated $8,000 in damages when it left Route 103 and struck a tree.

6:30 p.m. A two single-axle wrecker truck operated by Roy Doe, 34, 65a Congress St., Rochester, N.H., owned by AAA of Northern New England, Portland, received an estimated $2,500 in damages when it slid on ice and left Mountain Road while traveling down the back side of Mount Agamenticus. The wrecker had been called to assist a vehicle that was tuck.

11:19 p.m. Mark A. Thompson, 19, 109 Langs Lane, Newmarket, N.H., was charged with operating while license suspended or revoked on Broadway. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

Three eighth-grade males were charged with assault following an incident with a female classmate. There were no injuries and the incident was not sexual in nature. The three males have been suspended and will be going into Jumpstart, a mentorship and community service program for first-time juvenile offenders.

11:37 a.m. Deborah L. Sullivan, 35, 14 Georgeana Way, York, was charged with operating while license is suspended or revoked on Hannaford Drive. She is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.

1:45 p.m. A York woman reported being given a bad check for $900 for a dog she sold to a woman from Maryland.

1:55 p.m. A 1998 Lincoln sedan operated by Paul R. Dyer, 47, P.O. Box 986, Berwick, received an estimated $1,800 in damages when it left Cider Hill Road, striking a guardrail, and then swerved back onto road, crossing the double-yellow line and striking a guardrail on the other side of the road.

6:40 p.m. Kenneth Higgins, 46, 81 Heather Road, Kennebunk, was charged with illegal attachment of registered plates on York Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

Patrick J. Simpson, 39, 75 York St., York, was charged with two counts of criminal threatening with a firearm and two counts of reckless conduct with a firearm and is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on Feb. 13.

Friday, Jan. 26

9:19 a.m. An employee from a York business reported the business checking account had been accessed and charged $44 for an internet porn site.

James T. Pidgeon, 18, 10 Egret Circle, York, and Nicholas P. Foster, 18, 46 Sentry Hill Road, were charged with burglary in connection with the Jan. 20 break-in at Stop 'N Go Video. Both are scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on Feb. 20.

Saturday, Jan. 27

9:18 p.m. Patrick J. Emerton, 42, 3 Sheru Lane, York, was charged with operating/allowing when registration is suspended and possession of a useable amount of marijuana on Long Beach Avenue. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.
