YORK - The following babies were born at York Hospital during the month of December and at Maine Medical Center in January.Mimi Brightside Goodwin, baby daughter of Heather L. Collins and Jason Goodwin of Kittery, was born Dec. 1, 2006. Proud sister is Jessie Lynne Goodwin.
Josiah James Hagen, baby son of Shelley Girdner and Stephen Hagen of Dover, N.H., was born Dec. 2, 2006. Proud grandparents are Mary Anne and Thomas Girdner of Richmond, Va., and Margaret and Charles Hagen of LaGrange, Ill. Proud brother is Henry.
Lauren Elizabeth Chagnon, baby daughter of Lydia and Scott Chagnon of York Beach, was born Dec. 7, 2006. Proud grandparents are Sue Chagnon of York Beach and Jeffrey and Laura Nolan of Anacortes, Wash.
Madeleine Louise James, baby daughter of Holly and A. Clark James of York, was born Dec. 10, 2006. Proud grandparents are Linda and Dirk Brunner of Walpole and Joan James of Allentown, Pa. Happy siblings are Hannah and Cameron.

Ava Sophia Martin was born Jan. 20, 2007, at 11:57 a.m. at Maine Medical Center in Portland to Kimberly Ann and Stephen R. Martin. Ava weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth. Happy siblings are Jacob Daniel and Aidan Gregory Martin. Proud grandparents are Sandra Farland of Hudson, N.H., Roland Farland of Nashua, N.H., and Roland and Joan Martin of Hudson, N.H.
