David Lusty
YORK - David L. Lusty, 77, of 22 Harris Island Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2007, in Sentry Hill with his family by his side after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for a period of time.He was born, May 31, 1929, in Troy, N.Y., son of A. Leland and Lois K. (Smith) Lusty. He was a graduate of Brown University and had served in the United States Navy. He was the founder of Dockside Guest Quarters and Restaurant and York Harbor Marine Service. He was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church and the York Historical Society. He was also past president of the York Chamber of Commerce and past harbor master. He was an avid sailor, gardener and story teller.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Harriette (Sibley) Lusty; four sons, Paul H. Lusty and his wife Stephanie Weaver of Portland, Eric L. Lusty and his wife Carol of York, Philip S. Lusty and his wife Anne of York and John C. Lusty and his wife Kimberly of Merrimack, Mass., and 10 grandchildren.
The memorial service for Mr. Lusty was held on Monday, Feb. 5, in the First Parish Congregational Church. Burial will be private in First Parish Cemetery.
