York Police Department Incident Log

Sunday, Feb. 4

8:49 p.m. A burglary was reported from the Hannaford parking lot after a car was broken into and its front and rear windows shattered. Items reported stolen included a car stereo valued at $200, an iPod Nano and accessories valued at $340 and a North Face puffy jacket valued at $250.

11:57 p.m. A burglary was reported from a physician's practice adjacent to York Hospital after four offices were broken into. The total amount reported stolen was $100 in cash.

Monday, Feb. 5

7:58 a.m. A 1998 Honda sedan operated by Joshua D. Herlihy, 21, 10 Gilman St., Dover, N.H., received an estimated $8,000 in damages when it skidded across both lanes, rotated 180 degrees, and left North Village Road, striking a tree.

8:26 a.m. Dick Bournival Dodge on Route 1 reported the theft of two rear wheels and tires valued around $4,000 that had been taken off a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in the dealership's parking lot sometime during the night.

1:41 p.m. A burglary was reported at a residence on Greenacre Drive. Items taken include a coin collection valued between $500 and $1,000, a pearl necklace, Firefighter ID card, and Army dog tags. Charges are pending.

4:12 p.m. A 2004 Volkswagen sedan operated by Amy Beth Lancaster, 33, 26 Pearson St., Portsmouth, N.H., and a 2002 Pontiac sedan operated by a 16-year-old York male and owned by Barbara J. Moynahan, 68 Seargeants Lane, Eliot, were in collision on Route 1 next to Brickyard Court. Damage was estimated at $8,000 for each vehicle.

No time listed. Gwendolyn M. Dennis, 55, 48 Woodside Meadow, York, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Route 1. She is scheduled to appear in York District Court May 10.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

1:25 a.m. Christopher B. Philo, 25, 300 Union St., Portsmouth, N.H., was charged with operating a motor vehicle without being licensed on Route 91 and Birch Hill Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court May 10.

9:44 a.m. John P. Jeacopello, 56, 392 Salmon Falls Road, Rochester, N.H., was charged with having an outstanding warrant at York District Court. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court April 5.

9:02 p.m. A burglary was reported at Hannaford by a manager who said employees witnessed a male run out of the store with a 30-pack of Bud Light valued at $20. Witnesses described the suspect as a 16-year-old male wearing a baseball cap and dark, bulky jacket. He got into a vehicle described as a newer model Subaru sedan with Maine plates.

Thursday, Feb. 8

11:11 a.m. A medical emergency was reported at 75 York St. A male subject was taken to York Hospital and subsequently released.

10:30 p.m. A 1997 GMC pickup truck operated by Ryan J. Sampson, 18, 120 Woodside Meadow, York, received an estimated $2,000 in damages when it struck a deer on Cider Hill Road, just west of Scotland Bridge Road.

10:45 p.m. John M. Rieger, 36, 188 Clay Hill Road, York, was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Greenleaf Parsons Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court May 10.

Friday, Feb. 9

3:05 p.m. A 2006 Chrysler van operated by Stacie Goodrich, 39, P.O. Box 966, York, and a 2005 Mercury sedan operated by Donald Leclerc, P.O. Box 1093, York Beach, were in collision on Ridge Road. Damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $5,000 and damage to the Mercury was estimated at $1,000.

4:49 p.m. Elaine Thomson, 46, of York, was charged with theft for stealing a Rolex watch valued at $1,500 from a residence on Mountain Road. The watch was recovered from a resale store in Portsmouth, N.H.

Saturday, Feb. 10

11:09 a.m. The York Police Department assisted the Alton, N.H. Police Department with a burglary investigation by recovering items that had been reported stolen after conducting a search of a residence in Caincrest Mobile Home Park.
