Local resident Michael Kimball may be best known for his international best-selling thrillers, but he's now quickly gaining recognition for his talent as a playwright, most recently with a nomination for the 2007 Edgar Award. The Square Knits don't have too many rules. The opening of Third Annual York Public Library Student Art Show drew what might have been one of the largest turnouts ever at the library's opening reception on Friday, Feb. 2. Pictured on the soft-cover catalogue accompanying the exhibition, "The World of John Brewster, Jr.," currently at the Portland Museum of Art, is a full-length portrait of an unidentified little girl.
