Ronald Banville

YORK - Ronald Banville, 71, of 156 Chases Pond Road, beloved husband, Dad and Pepere, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, in York Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1935 in Fall River, Mass., son of Edmund and Lena (LaMontagne) Banville, and had graduated from Diamond High School. Ronald served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division and then worked for the Boston and Portsmouth Naval Shipyards for 20 years as a truck driver before retiring. He later worked in security at York Hospital.

He was a driver for York Ambulance and enjoyed hunting, whitewater canoeing and fishing.

He leaves his wife of 43 years, Mabel A. (Stanley) Banville; two sons, Paul R. Banville and Todd S. Banville, both of York; two daughters, Paula J. Banville and her boyfriend, Shawn M. Frecker, of Cape Neddick, and Karen Thomas and her husband, Brian B. Thomas, of Stratham, N.H.; a beloved Aunt, Yvette Boulay of Fall River, Mass., and five grandchildren, Molly, Cassidy and Bailey Banville and Kaitlyn Mae and Cole Thomas.

The Funeral Mass for Ronald was held Feb. 19 in St. Christopher's Church with calling hours in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in First Parish Cemetery in the spring.
