Chester

Chester
What a great looking specimen I am. My name is Chester and I am a six-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler who was surrendered by my family because I marked inside the house. I have been recently neutered, which has helped me not have the urge to mark my territory. I hope my new family will have some patience with me with this, though. I can live with cats as long as they are dog savvy and will stand their ground with me. I am dominant around other dogs. If you have a dog currently living with you, a calm, submissive female would be best, but make sure to bring any dog you have living with you in to the shelter so the staff can introduce us properly. I have food aggression. The staff can teach you the trade-up game to play with me so that over time I will be able to better deal with this. I also need to have my new family practice the "Nothing in Life is Free" program. The staff can tell you all about that. If you have kids in the house, I am looking to live with the over-15 crowd. This age group would be most appropriate due to my size and their ability to best respect my food aggression. I appear to be housetrained. I know sit, shake, stay, roll over, stay and down. One of the volunteers is currently taking me through obedience class and I also go to the shelter dog class on Thursdays. I would make a great addition to a family who appreciates my breed and is willing to take time to work with me. I won't disappoint you. I am a great dog for the right family.
Misty

Misty
I am sure you are wondering why such a knockout like me is at the shelter. My previous family became homeless, so I came to the shelter in hopes of finding my forever home. I am wishing really hard that someone will see what a real gem I am. Hi, I'm Misty. I am an 11-and-a-half-year-old declawed female kitty. I would describe myself as sweet, gentle and friendly. I've lived with children, but would prefer not to live in a home with a dog. I once was bitten by one, so they really scare me. I enjoy playing with any type of toys and being petted. I've also lived indoors all my life. Right now I'm staying in one of the community rooms and have really enjoyed making new friends, but it's not like having a home to call my very own where someone will love me for the real gem that I am and I can love them, too. Stop by for a visit and we can hang out together. I just know that we will be purr-fect together!
Phoebe

Phoebe
Greetings! My name is Phoebe. I am an eight-month-old female guinea pig with red and tan hair. Quite the cutie, don't you think? My sibling, Paula, is here at the shelter too. We were found abandoned in an apartment and were then brought to the shelter in hopes of finding a loving home. I'm a sweetie, and with continued gentle handling, will grow to be a wonderful companion. Won't you please stop by the shelter and get to know me?
