Bernie

Bernie
Well, hey there! My name is Bernie. I was recently adopted from the AWS after being brought up to Maine through the Paws Across America program, but unfortunately, I was not a good fit with the other animals in my adoptive home. Now I'm back at the shelter and in search of my forever home. I get along with some dogs, particularly submissive females, but am not suitable for placement with cats. They are way too tempting and I like to chase them! I would also prefer to live with older children who can work with me and understand that sometimes I can be possessive of my food and treats. The shelter staff can show you a training game that will help with this. It is not known if I am fully housetrained, but I'm a smart guy and can learn! I'd also love to go through basic obedience classes to help with manners, commands and forming the dog/family bond. The shelter techs say that I am a very nice, happy dog. I'm looking for a confident leader who can work with me and help me grow into a great companion. Please stop by and get to know me!
Butternut

Butternut
Are you looking for a wonderful cat? Well, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Butternut. I used to live on the streets of Kennebunkport. I am really happy that I'm here at the shelter because it sure was getting cold outside. My one wish is to find my forever home. I am a three-year-old female who is sweet as can be. I like to be petted and will lightly push my head into your hand for you to keep on petting me. I am a bit shy at first, but the more you pet me the more I will show you my wonderful personality. I forgot to mention that I love treats! Stop by with some treats and let me show you what a catch I really am.

Hi there! I came to the shelter with my sister, Pearl, after our owner was unable to care for us. I am a two-year-old female who is friendly and adorable. In our previous home we lived with dogs and were allowed outside. It was really nice to go outside in our pen and hang out in the yard while being supervised. We weren't picked up all that much, so we get a little bit scared. But with gentle handling we can learn to be picked up and loved. If you are looking for a bunny to join your family, please stop in for a visit! If you would like to learn more about rabbits and having us for pets, please visit
