YORK - The York High School boys' hockey team was proud to celebrate its six seniors last Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Biddeford Arena.

In the long tradition of YHS hockey, on the last home game of the year, the seniors presented flowers to their families and received team plaques with their names and year of graduation.

The team was happy to dedicate this year's ceremony to Jack Hoyt, their most faithful supporter from the YHS faculty.

Hoyt had to miss the ceremony this year, but the team is looking forward to having him back next season.

The Wildcats won their game over Windale, 8-0, and will head to the Portland Ice Arena this Saturday, March 3, for the Western Maine Semi-Final game.

The winner of that game will compete for the State Championship on March 6 at the Collisee in Lewiston.
