In a decision that the Maine and New Hampshire Congressional Delegations are pledging will once again establish Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as the premier planning activity for submarine maintenance, U.S. Senators Judd Gregg, Olympia J. Snowe, Susan Collins and John Sununu and Rep. Tom Allen recently announced the Navy has decided to assign work related to the Virginia-class submarine to the shipyard. Experience Works, the nation's largest training and employment organization for mature workers, is searching for Maine's outstanding older worker. In Andy Gagnon's words, he's trying to "build community by getting people involved in the growing of fresh, local, organic food."
