Zachary A. Apgar has been named to the academic Dean's List for the fall 2006 semester at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Va. Zachary is a 2005 graduate of York High School and the son of David and Natalie Apgar of Cape Neddick.Kayleigh Barrett of York has been named to the Dean's List of the fall 2006 semester at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Dean's List status is awarded to students who have completed a 12-credit semester with a GPA of at least 3.40. Barrett is a freshman majoring in psychology.

Julianna DeStefano of York, who is pursuing an associate's degree in hotel management from the Johnson & Wales University Hospitality College at the Denver, Colo., campus, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2006 term. To receive Dean's List commendation, students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or above.
Celeste H. Ladd of York is participating in the Bates College Semester Abroad program. Ladd, a sophomore rhetoric student, is studying in Siracusa, Italy, at the Mediterranean Center for Arts and Sciences. She is the daughter of Paul and Melanie Ladd of York and a 2005 graduate of York High School.
Haley Olson, daughter of Thomas and Theresa Olson of York, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2006 semester at Saint Michael's College in Burlington, Vt. Students earn inclusion on the Dean's List by completing a minimum of 12 credits and achieving a grade point average of at least 3.4. Olson is a freshman majoring in elementary education.
Sara Reisz of Cape Neddick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Dooney Reisz, has been named to the Dean's List at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., for the Advent 2006 term. The University of the South, popularly known as Sewanee, is consistently ranked among the top tier of national liberal arts colleges. To earn a place on Sewanee's Dean's List, students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.625 on a 4.0 scale.
Krislyn E. Rousseau of York has been named to the Dean's List for academic achievement during the 2006 fall semester at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses. Rousseau, a member of the class of 2010, is a child development major.

Megan Sweeney, the daughter of Kevin and Mary Sweeney of York, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2006 semester at Saint Michael's College in Burlington, Vt. Students earn inclusion on the Dean's List by completing a minimum of 12 credits and achieving a grade point average of at least 3.4. Sweeney is a junior majoring in English literature.
Brian Thompson of York Beach, son of Ralph Henry Thompson and Donna Marie Thompson, received the MVP award in men's varsity soccer during his senior year at Hyde School, an independent, charter-based high school in Bath.
