Wrestling

York High School wrestler Ray Gauthier traveled to Connecticut this past weekend to compete in the New England Wrestling Championships and came back with a regional win.

Track

On Friday, March 2, seven athletes from the York Indoor Track team braved a snowy and rainy mess and headed to the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, Mass., for the 20th Annual New England Indoor Track Championships.

Basketball

Last Sunday, March 4, the 60-team, double-elimination basketball tournament came to a fitting ending with six championship games and the awarding of winner and runner-up team trophies as well as monogrammed t-shirts to the individual winners and DARE water bottles to the runner ups.

Hockey

The girls' ice hockey team traveled to the Portland Ice Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 27, to face Portland High School in the first round of the league tournament. Two great things happened to the York High School hockey team last Saturday night. The York Youth Hockey girls' middle school team traveled to North Yarmouth Academy on Feb. 27 to play what has been deemed as the first-ever, all-girls middle school ice hockey Game in the state of Maine.

Grappling

Tyler Kawczynski, 11, placed second in the Dragon Lair 12 Tournament this past weekend at the Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Sudbury, Mass.

Baseball

Sunday is the day for York Little League baseball and softball player evaluations, and player registration is currently open at www.yorklittleleague.net.

Rugby

The Seacoast Rugby Club U19 boys' and girls' teams are looking for new players for the spring season.
