Helen Bridges

YORK - Helen S. Bridges, 94, of 117 Long Sands Road, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in York Hospital.

She was born June 7, 1912, in Bath, daughter of Chester L. and Margaret (Burnham) Shepherd. She was a resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., from April of 1982 to September of 2006.

Her husband, Charles D. Bridges, Sr., died in 1971.

She leaves three sons, Richard S. Bridges of York, with whom she lived; Lawrence H. Bridges and his wife, Sandra, of Manset, and Charles D. Bridges, Jr., and his wife, Candy, of York Harbor; five grandchildren, Michael Bridges, Jon Bridges, Jennifer Gear, Mark Bridges and Robin Lieggett, and seven great-grandchildren.

A son, Chester C. Bridges, predeceased her.

Funeral services and burial will be private in the First Parish Cemetery, York.
