York "Senior League" softball and baseball for ages 13 to 16
YORK - Remember your T-ball days? How you could not wait until you could get into the minor league and actually hit a ball that was pitched to you? Then, you were on to the big major leagues. There were night games at Smith Field, home runs at Beach Field, all those great moments of play.
Now that you've graduated from the major league, are you wondering what to do with all those baseball and softball skills you've developed over the years? Want to keep playing the sport that you love?
Here's how. Join other teens in York and become part of the York Little League Senior League. The deadline for sign-ups is March 31.
York Little League is committed to providing opportunities for all senior-level players in town who want to be on a team this spring. You will be playing with and against other skilled players who want to be out there on the field.
The York Little League Board of Directors encourages players to talk to their friends as the more players that sign up, the better program that can be developed.
York Little League is currently speaking to other local towns to also develop a travel schedule for senior baseball and softball, with an emphasis on keeping travel to a minimum.
York Little League is also looking for dedicated volunteers to help coach senior league teams.
If you have any questions, please e-mail basehit@yorklittleleague.net. You may also visit the website www.yorklittleleague.net, which includes information on sign-ups.
