Chamber to print building trades and services directory
YORK - The Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to launch its first edition of the "Building Trades & Services Directory."This directory will be the premiere resource for residents to find a variety of trades people and services available in southern Maine. It will be mailed to residents of Kittery, the Berwicks, the Yorks, Eliot and Ogunquit in July.
"The need for this resource directory has been apparent for some time," said Chamber President and CEO Cathy Goodwin. "The chamber's research shows that a specialized guide that promotes our local tradesmen and women, and our services industry such as our hardware and lumber stores, financial institutions, realtors, accountants, lawyers, carpenters and plumbers - everyone who supports our growing communities - will be beneficial for many local small businesses."
Robin Crosby, director of membership for the chamber, will handle the development of the resource guide. Over the next few months, businesses that will benefit from exposure in this local resource guide will be contacted.
The $250 fee for inclusion in the directory includes membership in the chamber and all benefits associated with membership.
