YORK VILLAGE - The weeks ahead will be full of activities for fans of the Old York Historical Society.

DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE "BEFORE TOUR"

Join OYHS on April 21 and 22 for the "Before Tour" of the 18th Annual Decorator Show House at Mayfair on Route 1-A in York Harbor. See the spaces before the decorators work their magic from noon to 4p.m. The event is free; however, a suggested donation of $5 will be greatly appreciated.

GEORGE MARSHALL STORE GALLERY

On April 28 the George Marshall Store Gallery will feature Momentum V in the Main Level Gallery. The Old York Historical Society and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's Piscataqua Region will recognize and present the work of 2006 Artist Advancement Grant winner Barbara Rita Jenny and finalists Daisy Adams, Tim Christensen-Kirby, Kristina Logan, Gail Spaien, Carol Stein and Cappy Whelan.

Al Jaeger/Ceramic Wallworks and Sculpture will be featured in the Dock Level Gallery.

Exhibitions run through June 3, Wednesday through Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The opening reception will be held April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

MOTHER'S DAY TEA

Join Carol Anastas and her band of Christmas Tea ladies on May 11 for this delightful twist on Old York's traditional holiday treat, just for mom. Enjoy delicious homemade desserts, the tavern decorated with spring blossoms and fine silver and china sparkling from the candlelight. The tea will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Jefferds' Tavern. Admission is $10 per person, $8 for seniors age 65 and over and $5 for children age 6 and under. The price includes the choice of two desserts and tea. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 363-4974.

MUSEUM SHOP SEASON OPENING

Stop by the shop to see the new season's inventory when it opens on May 11. While there, buy Mom a gift from the wide variety of unique offerings at the Museum Shop. Everything from books to fine décor, cards to jewelry can be found there. Members always receive a 10 percent discount and all proceeds benefit the Museums of Old York. The shop will be open Monday through Saturday from10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
