Public records from both Maine and Massachusetts show that for at least the past three years Selectman Len Dorrian has been listed by both states as simultaneously filing for homestead exemptions as a permanent resident of York and of Boston.
Still stinging from the fallout of last week's public hearing, the Board of Selectmen voted 4 to 0 to put the revised amendment to the surf ordinance on the May 19 ballot for voters to decide whether the current surf zone should be expanded another 120 yards during big wave days when an increased number of surfers are in the water.
A potential problem with a plan to use existing funds to offset the cost of the proposed York High School music and arts instructional space addition has forced officials to remove the request from the ballot for the upcoming May referendum.
This Saturday, April 7, Ogunquit voters will have the chance to decide whether to approve the $6,463,759 fiscal 2008 budget, keep the incumbent vice chairman or elect a new member to the Board of Selectmen and approve ordinance changes designed to implement the town's Comprehensive Plan.
