Old York Historical Society is offering the public an opportunity to visit Mayfair, the 18th Annual Decorator Show House, before designers begin working their magic. If you are interested in creative floral design and would like to learn more about putting together your own unique designs, you'll want to be a part of Wednesday's Old York Garden Club event. At a well-attended recent reception at Jonathan's Restaurant when the program for the Ogunquit Playhouse's 75th season was publicized, Executive Artistic Ogunquit Performing Arts will memorialize Elizabeth Dunaway Burnham, a longtime member of OPA who is remembered as a fine pianist in her own right, with its first piano festival named in her honor. When Aaron Petrovich graduated from York High School in 1989 he was already a writer, with a passion for language and dialogue instilled in him by his mother, who is also an author. When Bob Marley got up to deliver the eulogy at his father's funeral, he eyed the room, the audience, and the first thing that popped into his head was, "this is a crappy setup." This summer, join the Old York Garden Club for "16 Sundays in the Garden," a unique local garden tour inspired by the version popular throughout England.
