SIGNS OF THE SEASON: Members of the York boys' seventh- and eighth-grade lacrosse team are seen during practice on Friday, April 6, on Long Sands Beach. With winter weather lingering into spring, the coaches and athletes took their practices to the beach as the fields around town have not been ready. Coaches Chris O'Connor and James Taylor also practice with the fifth- and sixth-grade boys for weekly practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:30 p.m. for the younger players and 5:45 p.m. for the seventh- and eighth-grade group.
