Take a chance for a good cause on April 21
YORK VILLAGE - Ethel's Tree of Life, a local nonprofit which has a mission to serve youth and young adults who live with disabilities and/or special needs by providing transitional training in life and work skills, will host its Casino Night fundraiser on April 21.Ethel's Tree of Life (ETL) provides mentoring and recreation-based activities and opportunities in which life and work skills are promoted and put to use.
Some recent ETL activities have included panning for gold, a life-skills trip to Winter Carnival in Old Quebec, creation of a large clay mural, which is currently on display at the Portland Children's Museum, and peer-to-peer mentoring.
The upcoming Casino Night event is a primary fundraiser for the organization. It will be held at the York American Legion on April 21 from 7 p.m. until midnight. Admission is $10 and includes entry into a raffle, appetizers and one non-alcoholic drink. There will also be a silent auction at the event.
ETL is offering the opportunity for table sponsorship to area businesses. The sponsorships are $300 per table and businesses will be able to hand a banner and share promotional materials.
