Selectman Len Dorrian has responded to last week's reports about conflicting homestead exemptions and voter registration in Maine and Massachusetts by condemning news reports as "sloppy reporting at best, malicious at worst." When Katie Gilroy left town for Colby College after graduating from York High School she knew she wanted to do something that would make a difference. On Nov. 1, 2006, Jim and Kate Holly went to York Hospital because Jim was suffering debilitating headaches for four days straight. When friends asked Mike Durkin if he would accept a May basket of gift cards for restaurants, coffee, gas and services as his son Jason's fight against the disease aplastic anemia continues, he agreed because the donations could be easily transferred to support someone else. On Saturday, April 7, Ogunquit voters reelected Vice Chairman John Abbott for a three-year term to the Board of Selectmen, after he defeated challenger Herbert Hoffman by getting 306 votes to Hoffman's tally of 214.
