Raymond Bolis

YORK BEACH - Raymond D. Bolis, 80, of 99 Airport Drive, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at home.

He was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Lawrence, Mass., son of Peter and Helen (Vaiksnorus) Bolis and had graduated from Lawrence High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had worked as a printer for the Eagle Tribune for many years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. Christopher's Church and a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, M. Winifred (Finneran) Bolis; two sons, Raymond D. Bolis, Jr., and his wife, Debrah of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Peter G. Bolis and his wife, Judy, of North Andover, Mass.; two daughters, M. Virginia "Ginger" Smith and her husband, Bill, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and York, and Shauna M. Krzanowski and her husband, Matthew, of Lake Worth, Fla.; a sister, Virginia Molloy of Lawrence, Mass.; five grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Bolis, Kevin L. Bolis, Joshua Krzanowski, Deidre Krzanowski and Matthew Krzanowski, and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Alphonse and Joseph Bolis, predeceased him.

The Funeral Mass for Mr. Bolis was held on Friday, April 20, in St. Christopher's Church, with burial in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence, Mass.
