New at Old York
Items needed for OYHS "Old-Fashioned Yard Sale"
YORK VILLAGE - Getting ready for spring cleaning? Need to de-clutter?Consider donating your unwanted items to the Old York Historical Society's "Old-Fashioned Yard Sale."
The sale will take place on Saturday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, on the front lawn of the First Parish Church Office, formerly the library, on York Street.
A variety of clean and operational items is needed to ensure a successful event that will benefit the Old York Historical Society, according to event organizers.
Items greatly appreciated include indoor and outdoor furniture, tables, desks, chairs, lamps, mirrors, decorative items, collectibles, linens, rugs, tools, garden equipment, sporting equipment, children's toys and furnishings, household items, jewelry, artwork, architectural salvage and books. Proceeds from book sales will be shared with the York Public Library.
Receipts for donated items will be available upon request.
Unfortunately the committee cannot accept donations of clothing, major appliances, lawnmowers, engines, snow-blowers, televisions, textbooks, computers or other electronics.
Items may be dropped off at a special storage location on May 5, 9, 12 and 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Arrangements may also be made for pick-up of items.
