York Rotary Club honored in Augusta

YORK - The Rotary Club of York has been honored with a Community Partner Leadership Award by the KIDS Consortium in collaboration with the Maine Department of Education.
Local Rotarians were honored during the KIDS As Planners Service-Learning Community Partner Leadership Awards in Augusta on Tuesday, May 1.
The Rotary Club was honored for its continued support and commitment to service-learning initiatives in the York Schools. Service-learning is a teaching method that links community projects with academic studies. KIDS Consortium, based in Lewiston, is a nationally recognized leader in the rapidly expanding service-learning movement.
