From candidate races for key town boards to the school and municipal operating budgets, local voters will decide a total of 91 ballot questions at this year’s Budget Referendum on May 19.
Incumbent Selectman Len Dorrian and longtime local resident Kinley Gregg are vying for a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen.
James Adams, Michael Ehrenborg and Ted Little would all bring different experiences to their service on the Board of Selectmen, but all three hope to serve the one two-year term to be decided at the polls on May 19.
It will be up to the voters to decide the proposed fiscal 2008 York School Department budget, which has met the Tax Task Force model and won the full support of the Budget Committee.
In the race for School Committee, incumbent member Mary Jane Merrill, Laurie Coffenberry and Julie Eneman are vying for two three-year terms on the board.
Although in February only one candidate had expressed interest in any of the three open positions on the Budget Committee, the race for the two three-year terms on the board has now become contested with Charles Steedman and Steven Samborski on the ballot and Stephanie Vallee organizing a write-in campaign.
For several races to be decided at the polls on May 19, just enough candidates filed paperwork to fill the current seats.
