Special Olympics
York students and teams were among those taking part in the York County Special Olympics, held at Shapleigh Middle School in Kittery on Thursday, May 3.
Lacrosse
The York High School boys' lacrosse team lost its most recent game to state champion Yarmouth by a score of 14 to 2, to bring there season record to 3-2.
Track
The boys' and girls' outdoor track teams are starting the season out strong.
Baseball/Softball
On Friday, May 4, the York Lady Wildcats (1-5) traveled to Cape Elizabeth to face the always tough, undefeated Lady Capers (6-0) and suffered their fourth road loss.
On Monday, May 7, the York High School Wildcats saw their record drop to 4 and 6 as they suffered another road loss to Yarmouth by the final score of 8 to 4.
Local major and minor league softball and baseball teams were busy with a full slate of games in the past week.
