Barbecue at St. Aspinquid this Saturday
YORK VILLAGE - St. Aspinquid Masonic Lodge is the place to be on May 12 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for succulent beef that is slowly roasted and homemade potato salad, coleslaw, corn-on-the-cob and green beans with watermelon, as well as sodas, juice and fresh coffee.
All proceeds from this special barbecue will benefit community charitable outreach and benefit programs. The cost is $8.
During this event, the Masons will also be holding a drawing for the Hunting Raffle Masonic Outreach Project Fundraiser. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.
First prize is a hunting trip to Block Island; second prize is 20 Maine lobsters, and third prize is a gallon of scallops.
St. Aspinquid will also be holding a Sword of Bunker Hill Ceremony to commemorate one historic and patriotic Order of Masonry that was founded to perpetuate the principles of American liberty.
