Barn Gallery offers art and music for the 2007 season
Paintings by Russel Whitten will be showcased in the North Gallery of The Barn Gallery when it opens for the season on May 23.

OGUNQUIT - The opening exhibitions of the Barn Gallery's 2007 season will run from Wednesday, May 23, through Saturday, June 23.
"Anything Goes" is an experimental, bi-annual exhibition in which the artists of the Ogunquit Art Association are free to collaborate with other artists or to exhibit work in unusual media. It will be the first exhibition in the newly renovated Lower Gallery.
"OAA Expressions," in the Main Gallery, will be a diverse exhibition of work in many media.
Photographs and paintings by Tom Hibschman and paintings by Russel Whitten will be showcased in the North Gallery.
The outdoor Sculpture Court will include works by invited New England sculptors.
All are invited to a gala reception for the artists on May 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The, on June 21 at 7:30 p.m., Showcase Artists Hibschman and Whitten will compare their freewheeling use of different media and subjects in an artists' gallery talk.
Another favorite for the arts community is scheduled in the weeks ahead as the Ogunquit Performing Arts 13th Annual Chamber Music Festival will be held Thursday through Saturday, June 7 through 9, at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, June, 10 at 5 p.m.
The Eaken Piano Trio, the Boston Chamber Music Society, the Daponte String Quartet with harp and The Blossom String Trio, with cello, bass and viola, will appear on June 7, 8, 9 and10, respectively.
Tickets are required for the concerts but exhibitions, openings and gallery talks are free.
The Barn Gallery has limited free parking but visitors are encouraged to park elsewhere during receptions. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
