Join the International Women's Club of New England on June 3 at the historic Wentworth-by-the-Sea in New Castle, N.H., for an afternoon of food, fashion, entertainment and even an international marketplace. We have the planet on loan, and it’s our obligation to hand it over in better shape than we found it. Just two days after the town election, the new Board of Selectmen got right to work a look at some key issues facing the town. Rep. Windol Weaver has won the full support of the Legislature’s Transportation Committee for a bill that will put a hold on plans to build a new toll plaza to replace the local entrance to the Maine Turnpike. When Mike Little was asked how he would like people to remember his son, Spc. Kyle A. Little, who was killed earlier this month by a roadside bomb in Iraq, he spoke of his son's love for Little League, the Red Sox and baseball in general. Help support longtime York High School teacher Jack Hoyt in his battle against cancer by attending a fundraiser next Thursday, May 31. The numbers are scary.
