Chefs Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier to appear on "The Today Show"
OGUNQUIT - Chef/Owners Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier of Arrows Restaurant and MC Perkins Cove will appear on "The Today Show" on June 11.
Their appearance is in conjunction with their participation in a benefit for City Meals-On-Wheels® in New York City.
Frasier and Gaier will be among the top 35 chefs from across the country participating in the largest fundraiser of its kind.
Chefs Gone Wild, a celebration of the American Farmer for the Benefit of City Meals-On-Wheels®, will be held on June 11 at Rockefeller Center. This fundraiser was one of the first tasting events to take the chefs out of the kitchen and into the limelight and some of the most highly acclaimed chefs from across the world have joined this esteemed roster year after year.
City Meals on Wheels is just one of the many nonprofits Frasier and Gaier support through appearances and donations. Locally, public television stations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine are among those that benefit from Chefs' Dinner donations. The chefs are also supporters of Southern Maine University in Maine and Community Servings of Boston, Mass.
On June 11, Frasier and Gaier will be joining Charlie Trotter of Charlie Trotter's in Chicago, Alice Waters of Chez Panisse-Berkeley, Calif., and Daniel Boulud and Dominique Ansel from Daniel in New York. Also participating this year is Charles Phan of The Slanted Door-San Francisco.
Phan will also join Frasier and Gaier at their annual East Meets West culinary weekend in September.
Arrows Restaurant has been a destination for fine dining since 1988, including fresh produce from the gardens of this Colonial-era farmhouse restaurant. Gourmet Magazine recognized the restaurant when the magazine voted Arrows 14th top restaurant in America.
