Freedom Rousers host vice presidential impeachment meeting
OGUNQUIT - The Freedom Rousers of Southern York County, in collaboration with the Maine Campaign to Impeach of York County, will present an educational evening on issues related to the national movement on impeachment.
The meeting will take place in the Dunaway Center Auditorium, 14 School St., Ogunquit, at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public and is free.
The format for the evening will be that of a town meeting and will provide ample opportunity for spirited exchanges among those in attendance. Also featured will be the presentation of a new script on impeachment, performed by members of the Freedom Rousers.
Attorney John Kaminski, president of Maine Lawyers for Democracy, a group whose mission is "to promote the democratic process and the free exercise of Constitutional rights and liberties," will discuss the issues involved in the impeachment process along with House Resolution 333, a bill to impeach Vice President Cheney, filed by Democratic U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich.
