Ogunquit Charter Review Commission

This Public Hearing is for the purpose of gathering reactions to proposed changes in the Charter. Constructive suggestions are also earnestly solicited.
The following substantive changes being considered, as well as any other changes the public might wish to present, will be open for discussion.
- Select Board - increase size of membership from 5 to 7.
- Fiscal Year - change from a calendar year to a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
- Recall - change to a more rigorous process.
- Town Boards - change to electing some or all members of the Planning Board, Budget Review Committee, and possibly other boards.
- Town Manager - specify new process for Town Manager search.
- Town Budget - provide additional choice for voters with respect to budget items on Warrant Articles.
- Integrity - changes designed to ensure additional integrity in the conduct of Town Government.
The Public Hearing will be broadcast on WOGT.
