Eat out on Thursday and support the York Public Library
YORK - The York Public Library and 13 area restaurants and food shops have teamed up to present Food for Thought, a delightful way to kick off the summer season.
Treat yourself, your family, and friends to breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack or dinner out on June 7 and help support our local restaurants and the library at the same time.
Participating restaurants are donating a share of their proceeds from that day to build the book and media collections at the library.
This event offers everything from the unique flavor of Flo's hot dogs to tasty seafood at the Lobster Barn. Sample homemade soup and sandwiches at Food & Co., creative Asian cuisine from Greenleaves and Panda & Sakura, delightful breakfast or lunch items at Stonewall Kitchen Cafe, an elegant lunch or dinner at York Harbor Inn, fine dining at Chapman Cottage and Kennebunkport's On the Marsh, take-out treats from Lucia's Kitchen, the enticing array of breakfast and lunch offerings at the Stolen Menu Café, oceanside dining at the Inn at Long Sands, or a double-decker ice cream cone from The Village Scoop.
Food for Thought abounds with great dining options - and even gift certificate opportunities - to please just about every palate and pocketbook. When you visit the participating restaurants and food shops, be sure to mention that you are there to support them and the library.
