YORK - The York High School boys' lacrosse team finished their regular season on Friday, June 1, with an 11 to 5 win over Wells.

The Wildcats finished the season with the best record in their history at 6 and 6.This afternoon, Wednesday, June 6, they were scheduled to head to Cape Elizabeth for the playoffs.

The Wildcats broke open a 2-2 game to take a 9-2 lead at halftime on Friday and controlled the game from there.

Scoring for the Wildcats were Cam Dillon with three goals and one assist, Dan Powers with two goals and three assists, Alex Quinn with two goals and one assist, Corey Borgel with one goal and four assists, Justin Gallant and Tony Romano with one goal and one assist each and Ken Stitt with one goal.

Earlier in the week, the Wildcats lost to Waynflete by a score of 11-8. Scoring for the Wildcats were Powers with five goals, Borgel with two goals and two assists and Dillon with one goal. Tom Ross and Greg Hanson had one assist each.
