Lady Wildcats lose final to Yarmouth, 10-4

YORK - Last Wednesday, May 30, the York Lady Wildcats took their last road trip of the season and played their final game at Yarmouth.
As they have done all season the Lady Wildcats (3-13) scrapped back but were unable to overcome the "home field advantage" and wound up losing to the Clippers (6-10) by the final score of 10-4.
Yarmouth took the early lead with three runs in the first and one in the third but York countered with one in the fourth and three in the top of the fifth to even the score at 4-4.
Jolene Ciampa was on the mound for York but the Lady Clippers rallied with one in the fifth and five in the sixth to put the game away.
Ciampa did the pitching and Glenn Swanson the catching for York while Ciampa led the Lady Wildcat attack with a single and a double and Chelsea Hutchings added two singles. The
York Lady ‘Cats ended their season with three wins at home but none on the road and did not qualify for the playoffs.
