York man wins Kennebunk Savings' Hannaford Shopping Spree
YORK - Kennebunk Savings Bank recently drew the name of its winner for the Shopping Spree contest.
Originally intended to bring back a nostalgic race through the grocery store, this lucky winner opted for a less-frenzied approach.
According to the winner, "6:30 in the morning is rather early to be running around a grocery store, especially at my age!" said Hollis Perry, who is in his 80s.
Perry is a York resident and a Kennebunk Savings Bank customer who regularly banks at the Woodbridge Road office.
After speaking with Perry, Kennebunk Savings York Financial Center Vice President and Manager Karyn Scharf Morin decided that the bank would instead issue a gift certificate to the Hannaford store.
Through a joint effort, the Shopping Spree contest was promoted at York's Hannaford and Kennebunk Savings Bank York Financial Center through April and May.
