Elks to host Flag Day ceremony on Sunday
YORK - York Elks #2788 will hold a Flag Day ceremony at the Elks Lodge on Route 1 this Sunday, June 17, at noon.
This ceremony includes a presentation as well as history of the flag.
York Elks' Citizen of the Year Mary Andrews will attend the event and will be the guest speaker for this special ceremony. Andrews was selected for her dedication to the town of York as a tireless volunteer who served eight years in the Maine Legislature and has devoted herself to many town committees and charities.
The June 17 Flag Day ceremony event is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
