Sunday, June 3

12:56 a.m. A 17-year-old York male was charged with possession of liquor by a minor on Mountain Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court July 2.

1:32 p.m. Bo Li, 19, of South Berwick, was charged with criminal mischief after he was observed putting chewed gum on one of the vehicles at Jack's. Li was with a friend to pick up the friend's car from Jack's, and had to leave and come back to pay cash because Jack's would not accept a check. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Aug. 9.

Monday, June 4

3:10 p.m. A 1995 Jeep sport utility vehicle operated by a 17-year-old Cape Neddick male, owned by Esther A. Powers, P.O. Box 540, Cape Neddick, and a 2001 Toyota sedan operated by Timothy N. Lessard, 27, P.O. Box 431, York, were in collision on York Street. The Jeep received an estimated $150 in damages, and the Toyota received an estimated $2,500 in damages.

Tuesday, June 5

6:15 p.m. A resident of Hollywood, Fla., reported that someone from York Beach paid $407 on a Sprint PCS bill from her checking account on May 31. There was a second charge on the account from Santa Ana, Calif., of $413 on June 3.

9:13 p.m. James Schaffer, 46, 21 Greenacre Drive, York, was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Lindsay Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

Wednesday, June 6

7:05 a.m. A 2004 Jeep sport utility vehicle operated by John Mark O'Brien, 24, P.O. Box 131, York Harbor, owned by Turf Specialists, York Harbor, and a 1993 Ford station wagon operated by Christopher W. Pennington, age unknown, 380 Ocean Road #12, Portsmouth, N.H., were in collision on Route 1 at the entrance to Yorke Woods Condominiums. The Jeep received an estimated $1,500 in damages, and the Ford received an estimated $2,000 in damages.

2:30 p.m. A 2006 Ford pickup truck operated by Scott Fagan, 35, 132 Clay Hill Road, Cape Neddick, and a 1999 Toyota sedan operated by James T. Sweeney, 43, 119 Clay Hill Road, Cape Neddick, were in collision at the intersection of Mountain Road and Greenleaf Parsons Road. Each vehicle received an estimated $1,000 in damages.

7:14 p.m. Terrence L. Covington, 5 Thackery Court, Florissant, Mo., was charged with lacking the required transient license after he had been warned to stop magazine subscription sales and had continued without a permit on Nubble Road. He and other individuals had been reported by several residents in the Nubble area and Scituate Road for selling magazines door to door. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Aug. 9.

11:09 p.m. Two Massachusetts men received multiple charges after the Inn at Long Sands reported it had been burglarized and ice had been stolen. Matthew Ross Masucci, 19, 166 Highland Ave., Winthrop, Mass., was charged with illegal possession of liquor by a minor and furnishing a place for minors to consume, and Patrick Beckwith, 19, 34 Read St., Winthrop, Mass., was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and illegal possession of liquor by a minor on Stone's Throw Lane. They are both scheduled to appear in York District Court Aug. 9.

Thursday, June 7

1:09 a.m. Jesse J. Bartlett, 24, 38 Algonquin Drive, York, was charged with operating while license suspended, and James Hamelin, 21, 242 York St., Apt. 4, York, was charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs on Route 1. They are both scheduled to appear in York District Court September 6.

Friday, June 8

12:00 p.m. A 1992 Toyota pickup parked on River Road, last operated by Kathleen Rivers, 46, P.O. Box 175, York Beach, and a 2001 Dodge van operated by David K. Salmon, 44, 60 Clark Road, York, were in collision. The Toyota received an estimated $1,000 in damages, and the Dodge received an estimated $50 in damages.

8:45 p.m. Joshua A. Richard, 23, 112 Ledgewood Drive #12, Portsmouth, N.H., was charged with driving to endanger after the 1988 BMW sedan he was operating was in collision with a 2001 Honda sedan operated by Brian E. Walsh, 6 Kimball Farms Lane, York, on Southside Road. The BMW received an estimated $3,000 in damages, and the Honda received an estimated $3,500 in damages. Richard is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

Saturday, June 9

9:57 a.m. Brian Breyfogle, 34, 642 Alvardo St., #303, San Francisco, Calif., was charged with operating without being licensed on the Spur Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

11:37 a.m. Mandy L. Campbell, 27, 375 Banfield Road, #3, Portsmouth, N.H., was charged with being a fugitive from justice for failure to appear for a charge of driving while being certified as a habitual offender in New Hampshire.

11:50 a.m. A 2006 Honda sport utility vehicle operated by Anne M. Picard, 41, 16 Long Sands Road #1, York, received an estimated $1,200 in damages when it was struck by a deer on Long Sands Road.

1:15 p.m. Christopher T. Richardson, 23, 26 Rochester St., Berwick, was charged with operating/allowing when registration suspended in the Short Sands parking lot. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

7:55 p.m. James McCall, 36, P.O. Box 184, Cape Neddick, was charged with criminal operating under the influence after the vehicle he was operating left Route 91 and rolled over onto its side. He suffered minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

8:07 p.m. John Quinlan, 42, 115 Grant Ave., Medford, Mass., was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal operating under the influence on Long Beach Avenue after a neighbor reported that he had taken a mailbox and put it on Long Sands Beach. Quinlan had been going back to the beach to retrieve the mailbox when he was stopped up by police. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

Sunday, June 10

12:40 a.m. Tyler Franceschini, 18, 8 Henry Drive, Gonic, N.H., was charged with operating without being licensed on York Street. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Sept. 6.

1:04 a.m. Julio A. Gleske, 24, 126 Penhallow St., Portsmouth, N.H., was charged with failure to notify police of an accident by the quickest means after the Honda Accord he was operating left Route 91 and went into a ditch.

10:35 a.m. Matthew J. Moberg, 21, 11 Caincrest Road, York, was charged with assault at his residence. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court June 20.

2:10 p.m. A resident of Anbelwold Circuit reported that 24 inches of copper rolls valued at $2,250 had been taken from the garage while the house was being worked on.
