The governor has signed the state budget into law, and local communities must now begin the process of exploring the matches made in Augusta for the state’s new school consolidation plan. The Board of Selectmen got their first look at a plan that just might help the town’s need for affordable housing while meeting the mandates of the state’s growth law. Whether or not there will be Fourth of July fireworks in Ogunquit still remains to be seen.
