York surgeon to study with world-renowned expert
YORK - Board-certified plastic surgeon, Sarah W. Holland, M.D., of York Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center, will spend a week honing her skills in rhinoplasty (surgery of the nose) with world-renowned rhinoplasty surgeon Rollin K. Daniel, M.D., at his practice in Newport Beach, Calif., this month.
Daniel is a board-certified plastic surgeon and is one of the few surgeons in the United States whose practice exclusively offers rhinoplasty surgery. He has performed more than 4,000 rhinoplasties, and is a national authority in the field. He has published a total of six textbooks, written more than 56 chapters in numerous textbooks of plastic surgery and published over 225 journal articles on rhinoplasty techniques. In addition to his clinical work and writing, Daniel lectures extensively. He is also listed in Best Doctors of America for his surgical expertise in rhinoplasty surgery.
Holland said this is a one-on-one training where she will hone her expertise side-by-side with Daniel.
Holland is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is fellowship-trained in craniofacial surgery. She is the founder of York Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center in York, Maine. Holland graduated from Colby College in Waterville and received her Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University Medical College. She completed her Plastic Surgery Residency and Craniofacial Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to opening her practice in York, Holland was an assistant professor of surgery at Columbia University in New York City.
