BARN GALLERY MID-SEASON EXHIBITIONS BEGIN JUNE 27. Ogunquit’s Barn Gallery will offer its Mid-Season Exhibitions beginning Wednesday, June 27, and continuing through Saturday, July 29. “Regional Artists,” the Barn Gallery’s 11th annual open show, will be selected by juror Anne Zill, Director of University of New England’s Gallery of Art from work by area artists. “OAA Expressions,” an exciting and varied exhibition by artists of the Ogunquit Art Association will be shown in the newly renovated Lower Gallery. Two painters, Pat Andreotti and Gail E. Sauter, will exhibit their paintings of Maine, Italy and other wonderful places in the North Gallery. Invited New England Sculptors will continue to show their work in the outdoor Sculpture Court. All are invited to a gala reception on Saturday, June 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Yes, there will be a Fourth of July fireworks display this year in town, according to Leanne Cusimano, chairwoman of the Village Spirit Committee, the group responsible for organizing and raising funds for this year’s display.
Capt. Stephen P. Garrity will be relieved by Capt. James E. Rendon as commander of Coast Guard Sector Northern New England at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth.
