Iva Moffitt
YORK and ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Iva S. Moffitt, 87, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, N.Y.
She was born April 6, 1920 in York, daughter of George and Eva (Lothrop) Stover and had lived in York for many years before moving to St. Petersburg, Fla., and then Phelps, N.Y.
She was a graduate of York High School and had worked as an office manager at York Hospital. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church.
Her husband of 59 years, Robert Moffitt, and a daughter, Deborah Falvey, predeceased her.
She leaves a son, David J. Moffitt and his wife, Pauline (Heffron) Moffitt of Romulus, N.Y.; two brothers, George and Lothrop Stover of Arizona; five grandchildren, Neil Falvey, Jonathan Falvey, Lauren Squillacioti, Paul Sabin and Derek Sabin, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral home service for Mrs. Moffitt will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29, in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road. Burial will follow in the First Parish Cemetery, York.
