The two high school students visited the nation’s capital for the Washington Workshops Congressional Seminar Essay Contest, sponsored by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Erin and Chelsea were selected to attend the Washington Workshops for their essays on the influence of the media on the three branches of government.

The applications have been all been reviewed, and in its third year of making funds available for outstanding projects proposed by local educators, the York Education Foundation has awarded $21,583 for programs in the school year ahead.
