Buddy
Buddy
Mature and majestic at the ripe age of 6, Buddy has arrived here at the AWS after his owners could not claim him when he came in as a stray. Buddy is a free spirit and sees life as an exciting adventure he can explore with great confidence. Dancing to the beat of his own drum, Buddy finds life much easier to handle without having to share his home with small children. He is affectionate with those who take him out for a walk or throw him a ball, greeting them with a waggling tail and a loose wiggle. Buddy is asking for dog-savvy cats because life would not be pleasant for a cat that runs or is scared if him. Being the smart boy that he is, he’s very eager to learn and would love to go through obedience classes with his new owner. Having an independent nature he does not find that canine friends are essential. Buddy would prefer to be the only dog, unless the resident dog is easygoing and carefree. Intelligent and loyal, Buddy will flourish with a family that can spend quality time with him, giving him plenty of activities to exercise his mind and body.
Mittens
Mittens
Mittens is a one-year-old, spayed female cat. Mittens was brought to the shelter because her previous could not afford her medical care. Mittens had a severe broken leg when she came here and underwent surgery and then spent time in two different foster homes recovering from the surgery. She is an exceptionally friendly cat with a unique meow that will win you over the first time you see her. She is currently residing in one of our community cat rooms waiting for someone to come and adopt her.
Granite
Granite
Granite is a four-year-old mixed-breed male rabbit. He is here at the shelter because his previous family lost interest in him. Also because of that fact, he has not been socialized like he should have been, so he might not be the best home for a family with small children who are looking for a bunny to cuddle. But if given the proper amount of attention, and with a little patience, he should blossom in a new home with an understanding family. Stop by soon and meet Granite.
