Tickets still available for the Show House Gala

YORK HARBOR - While Mayfair will open for regular public tours from July 14 to Aug. 11, you have the chance to be a part of an evening like no other before the Show House opens while helping to raise funds for a worthy cause.

This Friday, June 13, at 6 p.m., the Old York Historical Society will host a preview gala on the Mayfair grounds at 515 York St., Route 1-A, in York Harbor to kick off the opening of Mayfair as its 18th Annual Decorator Show House. Guests will dance to the music of Straight Lace and enjoy catering by The Silver Tureen in Kennebunk while meeting this year's designers and touring the house before it opens to the public.

Reservations are required and tickets are available for $60 per person. The admission price includes the gala and Show House admission. Parking will be available at St. Christopher's Church, at the corner of York Street and Barrell Lane, and a shuttle will transport guests to the gala.

Tickets for the Show House Lecture Series events are also still available, including an evening cocktail reception and lecture by internationally renowned designer Mario Buatta on July 23 at the York Golf and Tennis Old Clubhouse.

Information and tickets for the gala, Show House and lecture series are available by calling the Old York Historical Society at 363-4974. Proceeds from all events will benefit the Museums of Old York.
