LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. A weary Mark Foster, owner of the Stage Neck Inn, shares some time with a local fireman in the aftermath of the Jan. 17 fire that closed the inn on the eve of its reopening. The suspicious fire was followed by another on Jan. 30, both of which are now under full investigation by state and federal investigators.

TAKING THE PLUNGE FOR A GOOD CAUSE. Members of the York High School Interact Club are living up to the "act" in their club's name by participating in a new benefit activity almost every month. This Saturday, Feb. 9, at noon, they will be braving the Atlantic's frigid winter temperatures in the Interact Polar Plunge at Long Sands Beach to benefit the Durkin family of York, whose two sons each have undergone bone marrow transplants in the past two years.
