Lady Wildcats rally to rout Raiders
With more lead changes than the "Democratic Primary," the fourth-seeded York Lady Wildcats finally outlasted the fifth-seeded Fryeburg Lady Raiders, 57-45, and advance to the Western Maine Semifinals.

Wildcats’ hoops season comes to an end
Paced by 20 points from Trevor Higgins, the Class C Traip Academy Rangers (14-2) outlasted the young York Wildcats (3-13) in the final game of the season on Feb 7.

Hockey

Hockey 'Cats take top spot
February was filled with good fortune for the streaking Wildcats as they packed the calendar with six straight wins that included a big one over longtime rival Greely; a close one, 3-2 in overtime over Cape Elizabeth, and their final regular season contest, a 3-2 win over Yarmouth at the Travis Roy Arena on Presidents' Day.

Varsity girls’ ice hockey continues strong season
The Lady Wildcats defeated Deering 5-0 at the Rochester Ice Arena on Feb. 16.

Big win for YMS hockey
On Feb. 16, the York Middle School Hawkins Division hockey team took to the ice to play Auburn under unusual circumstances: they were playing without a goalie.

Strong season for YMS girls’ hockey
On Sunday, Feb. 17, the York Middle School girls' hockey team defeated the Tewksbury, Mass.-based Vipers at Phillips Exeter by a score of 3-0.

Track

Track team finishes strong at states
The York High School indoor track team competed in the State Championship Meet on Feb. 18 at Bates College in Lewiston.
