On March 13, members of the youth ministry were joined by Rose Cronin of St. Christopher's in presenting York Community Food Pantry Director Tom Whalen with a check for $966 collected as part of the national Souper Bowl of Caring program during Super Bowl weekend. Whalen said the funds donated are a huge help to the pantry, which will in turn be able to buy about $5,000 worth of needed supplies for York's families in need by shopping at special locations that provide food at reduced costs for agencies like the York Community Food Pantry.
